The Streets 02:52
Lightening up my pipe Inhale and I’m out There are dogs and monsters and garbage on the ground Listening to the same record for the 32nd time And i really love being stoned in the streets People living in the Streets Near the sewers and drains of the city I see them laughing and wait in disbelief And I feel good as I walk in the streets Words changing rapidly In a crossworded apogee And Lucy’s still with me As i’m changing the fantasy Anything I could see Anything I could feel Anything is a dream Everything is real in the streets People dying in the streets Near the lampposts and corners of the city I see them fighting in search for release And I’m cut out as I walk in the streets

After a 10 year hiatus, the Paris based Israeli psych-pop songwriter & producer MAGON relaunches his solo career with the powerful new single "The Streets". Verging between urban grit and downtown acid trip, the rhythm and lead guitars of the chorus recall the raw energy of the Pixies while Magon’s vocal delivery and lyrics sit somewhere between the sincerity of Springsteen and the theatricality of Lou Reed.

The visceral cover photo casts the vibrancy of the street onto Magon, who returns it back to us in this superb first single. What’s next for Magon is unknown... let’s just hope we won’t have to wait another 10 years to find out.
